Mistico Injured Again

Archive

WrestlingObserver.com is reporting that Mistico was injured last night. While wrestling against Efesto, he headed to the top rope to hit a spinning head scissors. He slipped, fell off the ropes, and landed on his head, apparently knocking himself out. He was rushed to Mexico City for tests. The doctors said that he did have a contusion on his brain, but there didn’t appear to be any permanent damage. He was finally taken from ICU and placed on medication and an IV.

This is very bad news for CMLL, who have their anniversary show tonight (with Mistico scheduled for the main event). As of this posting, it is unknown whether Mistico will compete or not.

Of course, it should also be noted that Mistico was already working injured. He had recently recovered from shoulder problems and was trying to get through the anniversary show with an injury to his left knee.

Superluchas.com has photos of Mistico being carried out by Marco Corleone (Mark Jindrak) and CMLL officials after the incident, as well as a photo of Mistico in his hospital bed.

Keep checking back to Inside Pulse for more as this develops, as well as for full results of the anniversary show when they’re available.
