PRESS RELEASE: The Pittsburgh Comic Con 2008 Update!

Features

As many of you know (or may not), a couple months ago Michael George one of the two founders of the Pittsburgh Comic Con was accused and arrested on chargers of murder. While these accusations are still only that, accusations, the fate of the Comic Con itself has been called into question quite a bit.

I recently spoke with Renee George, Michael’s wife and co-founder of the comic con, and she had this to say about the show:

Yes, the show will go on. We already have great guests planned and all the advance money I have received from dealers for 2008 has been paid to the Expomart in advance. We have contracts to uphold and our staff is so great, and above all professional, that if by chance one of us could not be there, everyone can step in and things will run smoothly. We are hoping everything is resolved long before the end of April though. Please publicly thank everyone for their support during all of this. The cards, letters and emails have been so kind and so deeply appreciated. Keep us in your prayers…………………………..Give my love to everyone, Renee

I will try to keep everyone updated as much as I can when there is new information to be had. In the mean time feel free to email any questions you might have, and I’ll do my best to get any and all answers.

Thanks, and we hope to see a lot of people at the show this year!
