Missing Links on Writer Vacations, Hayes’ Return, Lashley, The Rock & More

News

There’s a feature on The Rock (his movie’s coming out soon, ya know) at LATimes.com.

In other news, Tom Fleming, a costume designer for WWE in the mid-1990s, talks with The-Trades.com.

Bobby Lashley has told friends that he signed with a smaller MMA group to try and rack up wins and get the attention and a good offer from the major groups, according to Prowrestling.net.

Also from Prowrestling.net, ROH and AAA will be exchanging talent… Shawn Michaels — who it is claimed could get Bryan Danielson hired if he put in a good word for him (and if Danielson wasn’t under ROH contract) — wasn’t at Raw Monday to sell being injured by Chris Jericho the week before, has coincidentally had eye problems in real life lately, and his father recently had heart surgery but is doing better… and Michael Hayes was at Raw Monday working backstage following his suspension (and with Brian Gewirtz, Gerald Brisco and some others not at Raw since it was originally supposed to be a night off and some writers and producers had previously planned vacations), and will stay SD lead writer although is no longer a vice president. He was treated for his drinking issues and he risks being fired if he drinks again, he met with Mark Henry to discuss their issues, and some are speculating that he will apologize to the roster when everyone gathers for the draft next week. By the way, Bruce Prichard filled in for Brisco at the gorilla position on Raw, and those writers who missed Raw are already back at work prepping for the draft.

Matthew Michaels is editor emeritus of Pulse Wrestling, and has been since the site launched.
