WWE DotCom Delivery – Week of 09/20/08

Reviews, Shows, Top Story, Webshows

OMG Moment of the Week should get a new name, because it no longer features a true OMG moment. Instead, now it focuses each week on a different aspect of classic ECW. This week it’s the absolutely classic feud between Dean Malenko and the late Eddie Guerrero. Paul Heyman and Tommy Dreamer explain the contribution that these guys made to ECW and they show some match clips. Watching Guerrero himself talk about it is still touching. You know, if the original ECW had more of this style and less “Extreme” I might have liked it more.

On Word Up Cryme Tyme introduce us to the word BUTTERZ, meaning someone who is especially repulsive to look at, butt ugly. They move on to some lame recycled ugly jokes, until they finally get to what everyone’s waiting for, their feud with Miz & Morrison, but unfortunately they only make one half-assed joke in an attempt to advance this feud. That was disappointing.

But Santino’s Casa rarely disappoints, and even has a new logo. Santino makes his pitch for hosting duties on SNL with a pretty funny monolog. He then plugs his Honk-A-Meter before moving on to Perez Hilton. Apparently Santino’s beef is not only with Perez but with tmz.com also. Hollywood gossip writers – beware the wrath of Santino!

Dirt Sheet! Miz & Morrison waste no time in addressing Cryme Tyme, exposing them as the real posers, since Shad’s dad wears a sweater vest!!! They move on the Colons. Joking about “colons” may be expected, but they pull it off and even suggest names for the Colons’ finisher, with Colon Cleanse winning. They finish this week with their take on the Vladimir Kozlov/Jeff Hardy feud. You must see it.

And finally, Weekly Top five with Josh Mathews. The cage match from Raw is only at number 5 while the Kane/Mysterio match is at 4. Whatever. As always, Ecw is at number 3 with the Henry/Finlay match. Vladimir Kozlov’s attack on Triple H is in second place and finally, number 1 goes to the announcement that Jericho will face HBK in a ladder match at No Mercy. Awesome.

And that’s the Dotcom week for you. As always, Miz & Morrison continue to kick all kinds of ass. Watch them.
