Culver City, Calif. (November 24, 2008) – Everyone’s favorite witch returns when Sony Pictures Home Entertainment debuts Bewitched: The Complete Seventh Season on DVD February 3. The Emmy-nominated seventh season stars Elizabeth Montgomery, Dick Sargent and Agnes Moorehead. Guest stars this season include Golden Globe®-nominee Cesar Romero ( “Batman,” If a Man Answers), Golden Globe®-winner Vic Trayback (Alice), Emmy Award®-winner Imogene Coca (National Lampoon’s Vacation, Your Show of Shows), Emmy Award®-nominee Alice Ghostley (Designing Women), Bernard Fox (Titanic) and Emmy Award®-nominee Paul Lynde (The Hollywood Squares). The DVD includes all 28 episodes in a four-disc boxed set and will be available for $39.95 SRP.
Bewitched originally aired on ABC September 17, 1964, and the series became an instant hit with critics and audiences, ultimately airing 256 episodes over eight seasons. Produced and directed by William Asher (I Love Lucy, Gidget), Bewitched was nominated for 22 Emmy Awards® over the course of its run, winning three.
SYNOPSIS
This season, Samantha (Montgomery) is summoned to appear at the Witches Convention in Salem; Darrin (Sargent) is taken to jail when the authorities think he stole a bedpan; and Samantha’s Aunt Esmerelda (Ghostley) takes an original Paul Revere teapot. Endora (Moorehead) changes Darrin into an old man; Tabitha (Erin Murphy) meets a real live fairy when she loses her first tooth; and Samantha’s wacky cousin Serena is up to no good – again.
