The Rock Laughs At Cena, Is Happy For Austin

News

Dwayne Johnson responded to John Cena’s challenge of a match, and his comments about Johnson turning his back on the wrestling business, at the UK Sun. Johnson found the most diplomatic way possible to tell Cena to get a life and stop bugging him already:

“John’s perspective is very interesting to me.

“It’s borderline laughable.

“But can I just say that I wish him the best of luck with his movie career and everything else he does.”

He also commented on in-ring rival Steve Austin’s hall of fame induction (which Johnson did not attend due to promotion of his new film), saying he was happy for Austin and that they were good friends. He said inducting his father and grandfather last year was on honor. He also said he’d “probably” never wrestle again, which may be too much wiggle room to avoid further challenges from Cena.

The Sun also reprinted Cena’s diatribe against the Rock, in case you missed it the first time (or any other time he’s talked about Johnson in an interview with any media outlet in recent years):

“What I kind of get peeved about, and this is my Achilles heel, is that I’ve wanted to do this my whole life.

“Rock falls into that category. At one point he loved wrestling and wanted to do this all his life.

“So explain to me why he can’t come back for Raw’s 15th anniversary show or why he can’t make an appearance at WrestleMania.

… “Associating with sports entertainment doesn’t do much for his acting career. I get it.

“Just don’t f*** me around and tell me that you love this.
