PWI’s Mike Johnson has all of the matches announced thus far for tonight’s Smackdown taping. Nothing new, but her they are in case you missed the various announcements:
Championship Scramble Match- Rey Mysterio vs. Chris Jericho vs. the Great Khali vs. John Morrison vs. Jeff Hardy (winner is #1 Contender for Edge’s World Heavyweight Championship)
U.S. Championship- MVP (C) vs. Dolph Ziggler
Advertised Dark Match Main Event- Jeff Hardy, Triple H, and John Cena vs. Matt Hardy, Edge, and Randy Orton
No matches have been announced for ECW yet, but Christian’s victory promo was advertised during Raw last night.
Speaking of ECW, Tommy Dreamer says that tonight could be his final match at MSG at his WWE Universe blog. He reminisces about his favorite matches at the mecca of sports entertainment, as a fan and a performer, calling his Royal Rumble appearance last year “the greatest two minutes of my life”. We’ll find out whether this means they’re finally moving in to the last stages of the Dreamer retirement angle tonight, or if Tommy was just feeling nostalgic.
