Michael Vick: Where Will He Land?

With the Mike Vick speculation still in full swing, I will take a look at three places he could end up. Although most, if not all teams have declared they are not interested, there is still undoubtably some interest throughout the league. That being said, all 32 NFL  teams will be taken into account.

Team #1- New England Patriots- Bill Belichick has a reputation for taking older players, along with players with a history of trouble with the law and incorporating them into the Patriots system. Junior Seau, who is currently 40 has played with the Patroits and was a vital part of that defense when healty. Randy Moss, who is no doubt a superstar in the NFL, had been cocky in Oakland and Minnesota, but seems to have accepted his role in New England. He has a history with the law but has stayed out of trouble recently. Mike Vick could come into New England and be used sparingly, just to get his feet wet. Belichick could help to turn Vick’s career around in New England.

Team #2- Minnesota Vikings- With the recent injury to Tarvaris Jackson, the Vikings could soon be calling for the services of Michael Vick. Vick is much like a Tarvaris Jackson, he can run but couldnt throw. Vick has reportedly hired one of the best trainers in the game, so hopefully he will improve his mechanics. If he can learn to throw quickly yet accurately, as well as have the same foot speed he would be a great fit in Minnesota’s offense.

Team#3- Miami Dolphis- The ‘fins integrated the wildcat system into their offense with Ronnie Brown during their spectacular 2008 playoff run. Michael Vick certainly has the foot speed to fool opponents, along with Brown in the wildcat formation. Other than the wildcat, Vick could always step into the quarterback postion if an injury occurs to starter Chad Pennington.
