Bryan Singer Stuck in Remakesville

Disc Announcements, News

Mere days after it was announced that director Bryan Singer is attached to direct the feature film of Battlestar Galactica (which will apparently have nothing to do with the recent hit TV series), it has now come out that man who reinvented the superhero film with X-Men is attached to yet reinvent the classic Sword in the Stone, “Excalibur.”

Boorman’s Excalibur is adapted from the book by Thomas Malory and is a very dark and moody film. It is unknown what kind of take Singer will bring to the classic Aurtherian legend.

Singer is also apparently getting serious about Jack the Giant Killer, a take on “Jack And The Beanstalk,” for his next directing effort. He is also said to be toying with X-Men: First Class, a spin-off of the series he started focusing on the younger mutants.
