ECW Real-Time Coverage for 9/1/2009

Reviews, Shows, Top Story, TV Shows

Tonight’s ECW will feature a replay of the Shawn Michaels vs. The Undertaker match from WrestleMania 25, so we won’t have live coverage of the show (although we highly recommend you watch it!).

According to the latest Figure Four Weekly at F4Wonline.com, as of last night, an ECW match and an Abraham Washington skit will also air on tonight’s show. We will have results here following the show. To read a review of the HBK/Taker match, check out Scott Keith’s WrestleMania 25 Rant.

UPDATE:Here are results from the show:

– Shelton Benjamin beat Zack Ryder via pinfall after the Paydirt
– The Abraham Washington Show took place, with Tony Atlas as the new sidekick and Gregory Helms as the guest. Helms insisted he wasn’t The Hurricane (maybe WWE shouldn’t have been using that “Hurricane Helms” Titantron video all this time) and was just a backstage reporter relegated to that duty due to his neck injury. Paul and Katie Lea Burchill came out, The Hurricane challenged him to a match on the Hurri-cam, and he accepted.
– Zeke & Vlad beat two jobbers (Jim Parks & Mike Tolar?). Following the squash, Christian came out with Dreamer and went after Regal, who was at ringside, but the dastardly heel got away. Christian & Dreamer vs. Zeke & Vlad will take place next week.
– Tiffany introduced the HBK/Undertaker match, but only a highlight package was shown. Still awesome.
– The REAL main event was … Sheamus vs. Goldust in a no DQ, no countout match. O’Shaunessy won, beating Dustin with an Irish Curse (side-slam backbreaker).
