Ten TUF Thoughts: Episode One

Columns

Each week, new Inside Fights staff writer Bryan Ford will take a quick and (hopefully) humorous look at the newest episode of The Ultimate Fighter.

  • No matter how Kimbo Slice does in TUF 10, his beard is already a champion.
  • The only person who appeared to be excited by Kimbo Slice walking into the training room was Rampage. Everyone else just thinks Kimbo will be an easy win.
  • Even when Rashad Evans is correct about something, he still comes off as… how would the President put it? Oh yeah… a jackass.
  • Even when Rampage is wrong or appears a bit clueless, he is still lovable old Rampage. Or is it B.A. Barracus?
  • Why couldn’t Roy Nelson and Wes Sims end up on the same team? And by “the same team” I mean Team Rampage. Just thinking of the potential conversations between those two makes me all tingly inside.
  • After the A-Team movie is finished filming, I’m pushing for a remake of the Odd Couple starring Rampage and Abe Wagner.
  • Jon Madsen looks like he should be hanging out with Turtle and the gang on HBO.
  • Abe Wagner is a fantastic bleeder! He is the Michael Phelps of bleeding. A true champion of bleeding, he is.
  • After seeing the first fight, you have to wonder how much thought Rampage’s team put into the fight selection. My guess? The old magic 8-ball!
  • If Vegas allowed you to bet on the fights Rampage picked on this show…well, Vegas would go broke.
