This is odd: Ticketmaster just put up a new sales page for UFC 104, which was scheduled to take place in Los Angeles at the Staples Center. According to the new ticket sales page, the show has been moved to the Morongo Casino in Cabazon, CA.
We’ve heard rumors of slow ticket sales for UFC 104 for weeks; the show has apparently sold just over 9,000 tickets for a building that holds 19,000. Moving the show with a little more than a month to go would be a drastic move.
We’ll try to get details on this story tonight from Dana White. Is it a Ticketmaster snafu, or is the show actually being moved? And if it’s being moved, what’s the reasoning for doing it this late in the game?
UPDATE: The show was not moved. The casino ticket page is for a closed-circuit screening.
