ProWrestling.net’s Jason Powell reports that Mick Foley tried to have the finish changed for last week’s Impact main event. Instead of being pinned by Matt Morgan, Foley proposed that Daffney and Dr. Stevie replace him and Kurt Angle mid match during Monday’s TV taping.
TNA filmed the match but it bombed with the live audience. They decided to re-shoot and air the original finish on Tuesday. While Foley didn’t refuse to job like Booker T. did, he’s still catching heat backstage for trying to change the finish. One of Powell’s sources had this to say:
“He’s crafty,” one source stated. “He knows how to hide behind that nice guy image.”
