Horodecki joins WEC: Debut rumored for Dec.

News

The WEC announced via Twitter today that Chris Horodecki will join the organization’s lightweight ranks.

Horodecki rose to fame through his tenure with the IFL. He suffered his first career loss to Randy Schultz at “IFL: World Grand Prix”. Not only was it his first ever defeat, but “The Polish Hammer” was unsuccessful in gaining the belt.

Horodecki was set to fight Dan Lauzon in the now defunct Affliction promotion after his IFL career, but the fallout prior to “Affliction: Triliogy” prevented the fight from ever occurring.

The lightweight is rumored to debut on the WEC’s year end card in Las Vegas, Nevada this Dec. at WEC 45. The lightweight division currently is packed with talent, including Ben Henderson (Interim Champion), Jamie Varner (Champion), and Donald Cerrone.
