Lesnar Pulled From Next UFC Show

News

Yahoo’s Kevin Iole reports that Brock Lesnar has been pulled from his Heavyweight Title defense at UFC 106 against Shane Carwin. Dana White confirmed that Lesnar has been pulled the card due to an illness he’s been fighting for three weeks which has kept him from training. Lesnar’s co-manager doesn’t believe he has the H1N1 Virus, although it’s too late at this point to test him anyway, and says that Lesnar has been dealing with “upper respiratory issues, fever and extreme fatigue.” He also says that Lesnar’s been dealing with illness since the beginning of his training camp.

The fight has been postponed until January 2’s UFC 108. Tito Ortiz vs. Forrest Griffin has been moved in to the show’s main event slot.
