Brock Lesnar illness continues, out of UFC 108 championship bout

News

Brock Lesnar’s elusive illness seems to be hanging around a lot longer than expected.

According to Heavy.com, Lesnar’s fight with Shane Carwin is off the UFC 108 card, after already having been pushed back after the illness sent the Lesnar-Carwin match up off of UFC 106.

Lesnar garnered some negative attention when he was seen at the Minnesota Vikings game after withdrawing from UFC 106. However, the illness seems to be very legitimate, as Lesnar will be unable to participate in the UFC’s year-end show.

UFC 108 has taken an absolute beating the past few weeks. Anderson Silva and Vitor Belfort were supposed to fight for the middleweight championship, but that fight is off. Lyoto Machida and Mauricio “Shogun” Rua were rumored to possibly rematch on the card, but that will not be happening.

The recent news about Lesnar and Carwin having to wait until later in 2010 to fight for the UFC heavyweight belt just shows how far this card has fallen. Will the UFC be able to fill the void? Would you pay for a card headlined by Thiago Silva and Rashad Evans? Chime in below and let your voice be heard.
