Inside Fights is live in Illinois tonight as Strikeforce and M1-Global present “Fedor vs. Rogers” in a three round heavyweight match up. CBS is broadcasting the event free.

The fight will mark Fedor Emelianenko’s first ever fight inside a cage, as Brett “The Grim” Rogers looks to capitalize on the enormous opportunity he has received in drawing Emelianenko in a match up. Fedor’s WAMMA heavyweight title will not be on the line tonight.

Jake Shields will meet Jason “Mayhem” Miller in a bout to determine Strikeforce’s 185-pound champion. Shields continues to test the waters at middleweight after submitting Robbie Lawler at Strikeforce; “Lawler vs. Shields” this past June. This fight will be Miller’s Strikeforce debut.

The two other main card fights include a bout between Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou and Gegard Mousasi. Mousasi is the current light heavyweight champion of the promotion, but the fight is a three round non-title bout. The other fight is a heavyweight contest between Antonio Silva and Fabricio Werdum.

Fedor Emelianenko defeats Brett Rogers via technical knockout at 1:48 of Round 2

Jake Shields defeats Jason “Mayhem” Miller via unanimous decision (48-47, 49-46, 49-46) and wins Strikeforce Middleweight Championship.

Gegard Mousasi defeats Rameau Thierry Sokoudjouvia technical knockout at 3:43 of Round 2.

Fabricio Werdum defeats Antonio Silva via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28)

Preliminary Card:

Mark Miller vs. Deray Davis- Fight was skipped. Either saving it for after main event, or has been cancelled entirely for this evening.

Marloes Coenen defeats Roxanne Modafferi via submission (arm bar) at 1:05 of Round 1.

Jeff Curran defeats Dustin Neace via TKO (taps due to injury) at 1:39 of Round 1.

Shamar Bailey defeats John Kolosci via unanimous decision (29-27, 29-27, 29-27)

Nate Moore defeats Louis Taylor via TKO (submission due to taps) at 3:24 of Round 2.

Christian Uflacker defeats Jonatas Novaes via unanimous decision (29-26, 30-25, 30-25)
