The numbers keep going up for CBS shows like NCIS, How I Met Your Mother, and The Good Wife, but the opposite is true for the network’s Friday night staple Numb3rs.

According to Variety, CBS has reduced the season’s order from 22 to 16, making room at midseason for the return of familiar fare like Flashpoint and new shows Undercover Boss and The Bridge.

The series, which features FBI agent Don Eppes (Rob Morrow) solving crime with the aid of his younger brother, Charlie (David Krumholtz), a mathematical genius and college professor, is in its sixth season.

To everyone else that might stumble across this, remember TiVo should be your best friend!
