ROH News: Final Battle matches for AAA talent, Strong vs. Black re-match, WrestleReunion, and more

News

The following news items were posted on the November 24th edition of the ROH Newswire:

The Final Battle 2009 weekend matches involving ROH’s four AAA “imports” – Rocky Romero, Teddy Hart, Jack Evans, and Alex Koslov – have been announced, and they are as follows:

– Friday, December 18th, Manassas, VA: The Briscoes, Jack Evans, and Rocky Romero vs. The American Wolves, Alex Koslov, and Teddy Hart
– Saturday, December 19th, New York City, NY: Rocky Romero & Jack Evans vs. Alex Koslov & Teddy Hart

Final Battle tickets are said to be going fast, but are still available at ROH’s website.

Also signed for Final Battle weekend (unclear which date, since the Newswire incorrectly lists it as “December 19th in Manassas, VA”) is Tyler Black vs. Roderick Strong in a rematch of their 20-minute time-limit draw from Mississauga, ON – this time, with a 30-minute time limit. While this match will have an impact on Pick 6 standings, it is unclear what that will be, since both men have Pick 6 matches in Chicago on December 5th, when Strong takes on Kenny Omega and Black faces Kenny King.

Also confirmed for December 5th in Chicago is the House of Truth vs. the Young Bucks.

The following wrestlers have been signed for ROH’s Los Angeles debut at WrestleReunion on January 29th: Kenny Omega, Chris Hero, Kevin Steen, El Generico, The Young Bucks, Joey Ryan, and Roderick Strong. Also, The Human Tornado will be making his ROH return, and, as reported last week, Scott Lost will make his ROH debut. And don’t forget, Jushin “Thunder” Liger will be in action as well.
