Keith Jardine set to collide with Ryan Bader in Australia at UFC 110

After a first round destruction at the hands of Brazilian slugger Thiago Silva, “The Dean of Mean” Keith Jardine is set to make his return back to the octagon at UFC 110 in Australia opposite “Ultimate Fighter” sensation Ryan Bader, sources confirmed with MMAweekly.com.

Jardine’s loss to Silva marked his second consecutive loss after once being a true contender in the 205-pound division. Jardine holds wins over top competition such as Forrest Griffin and Chuck Liddell, while staying competitive in fights with the likes of Quinton “Rampage” Jackson.

Bader is coming off a unanimous decision victory over Eric Schafer at UFC 104: “Machida vs. Shogun”, continuing his unblemished record consisting of ten victories. This bout with Jardine will certainly be the competition Bader has been waiting for and needs if he is to make a title run. All prior events indicate that he could certainly be a top contender at some point in the near future.

UFC 110 is set for Sydney, Australia next year. The card is still under speculation, but it seems the main event will be a bout between Antonio Rodrigo “Minotauro” Nogueira and Cain Velasquez. This will mark the first time the UFC has traveled to the land down under.
