TNA News: Lashley And Daffney Interviews

USA Today’s Sergio Non has a q and a session with Bobby Lashley. It’s mostly about MMA, but talk does turn to TNA, and his attempt to balance his work with them and his fight schedule while avoiding injury:

The main deal is that TNA had always told me they were willing to work with anything that I had to do with fighting. This is their first opportunity to show they’re really going to work with me. That’s all I really can say about that.

The next time I meet with them we’re going to sit down and talk and say, “OK, this is the date.” I mean, we’ve talked about this before, but I just want to make sure that everybody is on the same page here. “OK, from the fight, I’m going to need X amount of days … so I can really train for it.”

I have to protect myself when I’m wrestling and I always do. I’ve been wrestling for about six years now; I’ve been pretty fortunate to walk away from it with only one major/minor injury. Outside of that, I’ve been really healthy. So if I can continue to do that, I will continue to do that.

IGN’s Matt Fowler talks with Daffney about everything from her choice in head wear to the massive bumps she’s taken:

IGN: The Knockout Division has shown a lot of people how tough female wrestlers can be. In that division, you’ve been the toughest one of them all, falling on tacks and taking nasty bumps through tables. What’s that been like?

Daffney: Yeah, we don’t do that anymore. I don’t like to fall down and go boom, and hit my head. We did that for a while. A little craziness. Some fun with some tack-ery. A little pin-cushion action on the back. Yeah, I’m not indestructible. So we decided that we’re not going to be doing that too much anymore.

Oh, and she also revealed she’s a big fan of Harley Quinn.
