The streak, it appears, continues. After the “Summer from Hell” (read “Summer 2009”) in which several top UFC stars were hit by a rash of injuries, it appears that even the welterweight division isn’t safe from unexpected injuries. Up-and-coming star, Anthony “Rumble” Johnson will have to pull off the upcoming UFC on Versus next month debut with a knee injury, forcing the last minute substitution of UFC newbie Daniel Roberts to take on John “Doomsday” Howard instead.

The Oklahoma-based Roberts (9-0) is coming off a January win over veteran Anthony Macias with just over a month’s notice. John Howard is riding a strong three fight win streak in UFC with wins over Chris Wilson, Tamden McCrory, and a knockout win over Dennis Hallman at the Ultimate Fighter 10 Finale.
