It took five years but it was definitely worth the wait.
South Park waited five years to poke fun of Facebook, the outlandish animated sitcom but delivered a hilarious episode on Wednesday night.
In the episode, called “You Have Zero Friends,” the show’s four main characters took on the social networking phenomenon that is quite familiar to many.
While Cartman and Kyle are busy friending people and tending to their virtual farms, Stan doesn’t want any involvement with the Web site. But it’s not until his friends set up a page for him that Stan quickly learns the repercussions of having virtual friendships.
His own father even hopped on the band wagon and gave him grief for not accepting him as a friend on the site.
“So, I’m not you’re friend then? You just don’t want to add me as a friend?” Stan’s dad somberly asks. “You don’t have the two seconds [to add me]? Just to be clear – you and I are not friends?”
