You're In The Wrong Place Big Ben

You came to the wrong city to do this Ben, and I mean both Pittsburgh and that small town in Georgia.

The people of Pittsburgh love guys that can pick them selves back up and prove they’re a man.  Proof is in Terry Bradshaw’s stats.  He almost threw as many INT’s as TD’s, but he’s one of the most beloved people in Pittsburgh because when he got his chance to prove him self, he did so.

Now you Ben, Pittsburgh loved you.  Pittsburgh loved when you proved wrong the entire sophomore slump jinx by winning Super Bowl XL after a tremendous rookie season.  They loved that you came back from a motorcycle accident and appendix removal to become the single season franchise record holder in passing yards and touchdowns.  They even loved when you dodged the sexual assault charge while leading the team, keeping them in the playoff hunt last season with numerous injuries.

But here’s something Pittsburgh doesn’t love.  A guy that doesn’t appreciate what he has, and you don’t seem to appreciate anything.  The out of work steel mill workers want to bash your face in with a steel pipe right now.

Now Georgia… Georgia  loves to cause “out-of-towners” trouble.  They like giving out speeding tickets just because your license plate doesn’t say Georgia.  You have to know that Ben, everyone knows that.

So why would you pick a Georgia night club to mess with under-aged girls?  Especially after the first charge!  You’re lucky you aren’t in prison right now.  Shoot, you’re lucky this isn’t the year 1910 because you probably would have been hung from a tree in that city.

Smarten up buddy, because believe it or not you aren’t bigger than Pittsburgh.  Pittsburgh made you.  If you were drafted by any other team in 2004 you wouldn’t be anywhere near the QB you are today.

All those veterans you’ve had surrounding you with the great coaches and legends.  You weren’t even a game changing passing QB until 2007.

Now those stats are in Pittsburgh.  Go see what your stats would look like in Buffalo.  You’d probably be JP Losman right now.

Get smarter Ben, or Pittsburgh will tell you to get out.  Shipping Santonio Holmes should tell you that.  You better follow Goodell’s rules or you’ll be just another decent QB on a terrible team.

It’s the wins and the image that counts in Pittsburgh, and looking at your image your days are about numbered unless you start appreciating Pittsburgh.
