NFL: New Orleans Saints Saftey Darren Sharper Underwent Microfracture Surgery This Offseason

News

Now we know why it took Big Play Sharper so long to find a home this offseason.

Microfracture surgery is more severe that the arthroscopic surgery he was said to have and it leaves his availability to the Saints in question. It will almost certainly remove him from offseason workouts and how healthy he will be heading into to training camp in the fall is also uncertain at this time.

Last year Sharper had 9 INTs and 3 TDs. The 9 picks left him tied with Ronnie Lott for sixth all-time with 63 and the 3 TDs left him in second on the career list with 11 behind Rod Woodson’s 12.
