The heavily-hyped episode of Saturday Night Live featuring Betty White lived up to ratings expectations and then some, scoring a preliminary 8.8 rating and destroying the previous high-rated episode of the season which featured Charles Barkley. It also marks the highest rated episode of the show since Sarah Palin’s appearance in 2008.
