NBA News: All-Star Free Agent Summit Expected To Get Bigger With Amare Stoudamire

Already we’ve heard that Lebron James, Dwayne Wade, Chris Bosh, and Joe Johnson were expected to meet before any of them make a decision on where to sign their next contract, now Amare Stoudamire says he expects to be in the discussion as well.

I’m friends with LeBron, Dwyane, Chris,” Stoudemire said. “So I’m pretty sure they’ll call me and we’ll talk about a few things.”

Stoudamire is expected to opt out of the last year of his current deal and hit the free agent market. Stoudamire’s current deal would pay him $17 million for the upcoming year, but he wants a max deal.

Dwayne Wade was the first player to talk about the proposed Super-star summit saying the players would get together and just talk things through to see what the other players were thinking in their pursuit of a contract.
