NBA News: Lakers Center Andrew Bynum Has Knee Drained

News

Andrew Bynum has been dealing with a bad knee all post-season and hasn’t looked like himself for most of the playoffs, the Lakers hope getting his knee drained will help the Bynum return to his potent self.

Bynum has had a slight tear in his meniscus since game 6 of the Thunder series that wasn’t getting better with treatment, so the team decided to get rid of the swelling by draining the knee.

Even with the knee problems, Bynum has averaged 9.1 points, 7.7 rebounds and 24.2 minutes per game so far in the playoffs. He’ll be needed in the Finals against a deep Boston front court.
