Roethlisberger said he fell into all the talk around the “Big Ben” persona.

Roethlisberger said there was a history of alcohol problems on his mother’s side of the family, and Roethlisberger’s group had ordered a lot of alcohol the night of the most recent incident.

Moving forward, you have to make sure you make the right decision, and that right decision is something I’m going to have to make, when that situation presents itself,” Roethlisbeger said. “You can’t stop living, but you’ve got to live smart.”

Roethlisberger apologized to the fans for being young, immature, and for not knowing any better.

No questions were allowed, so Roethlisberger didn’t talk about the incident in Georgia that led to the six game suspension.
