The Wizards pick up another piece of someone else’s salary dump.
The Nets send Jianlian and $3 million to the Wizards for Quinton Ross and Washington’s trade exception. The move saves the Nets about $3 million as Jianlian was set to make over $4 million this year and Ross is only making $1.1 million this year.
The move leaves New Jersey with about $30 million in cap space which is just shy of being able to offer two players maximum contracts.
