NFL News: Chris Johnson And Tennessee Titans Nearing Compromise

News

Johnson has been threatening a hold out, but may be nearing a deal to show up for training camp.

Johnson is scheduled to $800,000 this season after leading the league in rushing last season, his second in the league. Johnson used that season to ask to become the highest paid offensive player in the league, but the team was unwilling to give into those demands leading to star running back holding out this offseason.

A Tennessee newspaper said one possibility is the Titans taking $2.5 million in esclated salary and turning that into a signing bonus this year.
