New Red Band Trailer for Middle Men is a Boobfest

News, Trailers

Leaving nothing to chance, Paramount has debuted a red band trailer (via MySpace) for George Gallo’s Middle Men that is sure to titillate. The comedy starring Luke Wilson is about the origin of Internet pornography in the ’90s. Arriving in August, typically a slow month for hit summer movies, it looks to capitalize on David Fincher’s The Social Network, which is about the origins of Facebook, that arrives in September. The original trailer couldn’t really show the “adult” parts but online it is free to be as adult-oriented as it needs to be. Sex sells, and it sells even better on online. It looks like a mix between Blow and Boiler Room, but I hope that Luke Wilson gets a career boost, because his brother Owen gets the flashier roles.

Middle Men chronicles Jack Harris (Luke Wilson), one of the pioneers of internet commerce, as he wrestles with his morals and struggles not to drown in a sea full of conmen, mobsters, drug addicts, and pornstars.

Middle Men is both co-written and directed by George Gallo, who also wrote Midnight Run and Wise Guys and both wrote and directed the films Double Take and 29th Street. Andy Weiss serves as the other co-writer. It’s based on the real stories of Chris Mallick. Paramount is bringing Middle Men to theaters on August 6th.

And do check out the poster for the film, which I love by the way.
