Bleedingcool is reporting that at San Diego Comic Con Marvel will officially announce Uncanny X-Force, a new ongoing series (most likely to replace the current series) written by Rick Remender (who is taking over the current series after Second Coming) with art by Jerome Opena (who provided art on Remender’s Fear Agent as well as several issues of his Punisher).
The team has been announced as Archangel, Fantomex, Deadpool, Wolverine, and Psylocke. The chief bad guy that’s been announced? Apocalypse.
The book will apparently also ship with an “Explicit Content” sticker, which should make it clear that this is going to be a violent and bloody book.
It’s set for an October launch.
