Official Trailer for Ryan Reynolds' Buried is Breathtaking

Fun, games and other shenanigans are about to bust loose in San Diego and to the fanboy populace as a whole. To get the ball rolling, Lionsgate has debuted the full-length trailer for Buried, a new claustrophobic thriller starring Ryan Reynolds as a contractor buried in a thriller. Reading a synopsis about thriller, Lionsgate had to be creative in its marketing strategy, because it’s literary Reynolds and no other actors. You hear voices but don’t see faces. Considering how emphatic I was with the teaser trailer, I was anxiously awaiting the theatrical trailer. Now that I’ve seen it, I want the movie released now!

While I could have done without the Hitchcock reference by one of the critic blurbs, the trailer accomplishes what it sets out to do. We see Reynolds awaking to find himself buried alive and armed with only a lighter and a cell phone – a cell phone that has great reception by the way. Buried is directed by Spanish filmmaker Rodrigo Cortés and written by newcomer Chris Sparling. It has a limited roll out on September 24th, but will open nationwide on October 8th.
