Boom Studios Announces Mark Waid To Write Stan Lee’s “Traveler”

News

At a press conference last night, Boom Studios announced three titles that would be debuting in a new super hero universe created by industry legend Stan “The Man” Lee. Boom is partnering with Lee’s “Pow Studios” to make this happen.

First up, by writer Paul Cornell and artist Javier Pina, was Soldier Zero launching in October.

Second to the table, by writer Mark Waid and artist Chad Hardin, is Traveler which launches in November.

Waid has recently been running superhero titles in his own universe at Boom with the titles Irredeemable and Incorruptible. This is a different story though, as this time he’s working with Stan Lee. The living legend himself. And what does Waid say of working with Stan?

“I had just turned in detailed series synopses fleshing out Stan’s concepts, adding things as I went, trying to be clever and maybe trying a little too hard to impress. And he sat down with me for our first plot conference, and he’s all handshakes and charm and warmth, exactly the Smilin’ Stan you expect…and then once we got down to business, he was all business. He schooled me.”
