Lindsay Lohan's Out of Rehab, Time for Photo Stills of Linda Lovelace Biopic Inferno

News, Projects

It was just a few months ago that photographer Tyler Shields stirred the controversy pot when he photographed Lindsay Lohan with a Gun to Her Mouth. Now that Lohan is out of jail and entering rehab, some of Shields’ leftover stills from his photo session with Lohan have made their way online. The photos look to be establishing stills of what the actress would look like as porno starlet Linda Lovelace in the biopic Inferno.

The project had attracted the attention of Meg Ryan and Angelina Jolie, and most recently Anna Faris, for the Lovelace role, before Lohan became attached. Josh Lucas will be portraying Lovelace’s abusive husband, Chuck Traynor, and Bill Pullman (yes, Lone Star) will play Playboy magnate (and supreme pimp daddy) Hugh Hefner. The script looks to be very lurid and intense with dialogue like, “To me, there is nothing more delicious than gism. I love it! I like to smear it all over my face like Ponds Cold Cream!” Gritty with talks and actions involving child abuse, orgasms and a car crash, within the first fifty pages of the script, we’re looking at a dark, more sinister version of Boogie Nights. The question is if writer/director Matthew Wilder, whose biggest claim to fame up until know is the ’80s hit “Break My Stride”, is in the same league as Paul Thomas Anderson. Inferno is Wilder’s first directorial effort, while Nights was PTA’s sophomore effort after Hard Eight (also known as Sydney).

Tyler Shields’ photos give an idea of how Lohan’s drug addicted lifestyle will play into a biopic about an abused porn star, but the likelihood that the project will still happen with Lohan, Pullman and Lucas is highly unlikely. My money is on a remake of Caged Heat with Lohan and Megan Fox happening before this.
