Christopher Nolan's Batman 3 Could Film in Louisiana

News, Projects

Not much has yet been given to us by way of Christopher Nolan as he prepares to film the third Batman film in his series. The sequel to Batman Begins and The Dark Knight is still in the working title phases and is tentatively being called Batman 3. We all know that won’t be the final title, but then again…we don’t know much.

Rumors have been circulating that Joseph Gordon-Levitt could end up playing the Riddler in the film. But then again, that still has yet to be confirmed either so essentially we have nothing.

Well, here’s a little bit more something to go along with your confirmed nothing. ComicBookMovie.com is reporting that filming for the third movie could take place in Louisiana. Principal photography has only recently wrapped up on DC Comics’ Green Lantern, but it’s been said that scouts have been looking for locations to shoot Nolan’s next Batman already.

A great relationship has been built between the city of New Orleans and Warner Bros. so instead of it ending with one comic book hero movie wrapping up, they have tentatively decided to let it continue with another.

Production is set to begin between March and April of 2011. Batman 3 is slated to hit theaters on Jul 20, 2012.
