Jeff Lemire talks finite Atom co-feature

News

I don’t believe this has made it out there, but it appears that Adventure Comics’ Atom co-feature is time-limited.

What was said by writer Jeff Lemire:

…I will say that drawing one book and writing three of them has been more than enough to keep me busy. Depending on the reaction to the 10 installments we do on The Atom, there’s a change it might get a spin-off, but I don’t know if that would be something I’d have time to do. We’ll see, when The Atom’s done, if I have the time to take something else. For now, though, I have my plate full.

So, it will be in 10 issues. Hmmm. DC seems to be planning the co-features out in 10-12 installments. Hmmm. How does gauge success? If the main book isn’t selling, does that mean the co-feature is the drag or vice versa? I’m looking forward to more Atom though. Good on ya Jeff!

Although, I’m still unclear how the Atom fits with a LOSH-centric Adventure Comics. JLA or another book may have made more sense for an Atom co-feature, I think.
