Strikeforce: Houston Preliminary Fights Announced

Over the weekend, Strikeforce released its preliminary fight card for Strikeforce: Houston, scheduled for Aug. 21 at the Toyota Center.

The main card (which will be live on Showtime) features a Strikeforce light heavyweight title fight between champion Muhammad “King Mo” Lawal and Rafael “Feijao” Cavalcante as well as a battle for the vacant Strikeforce middleweight championship, between Tim Kennedy and Ronaldo “Jacare” de Souza.

Of note, Strikeforce added bouts featuring Andre Galvao vs. Andre Galvao, former “Ultimate Fighter” cast member Vinicius “Draculino” Magalhaes vs. Rocky Long. Former Olympic wrestler Daniel Cormier heads the preliminary bouts as he puts his 4-0 record on the line against Jason Riley (7-3) and coming off of a recent loss to Devin Cole.
