Although nothing official has been announced, multiple sources are reporting that middleweight champion Sergio Martinez will face Paul Williams on November 20 in a city yet to be named. Martinez dropped a split decision to Paul Williams late last year in a fight that was nominated for Fight of the Year. Juan Manuel Marquez and Juan Diaz won the award last year and fought in a rematch just last month.
Aside from either man fighting Kelly Pavlik, there are not many options out there for both Martinez and Williams so a rematch of a close fight makes the most sense. New York, California, and New Jersey are all possibilities to host the rematch.
