So there’s a new Final Destination in works and its called 5nal Destination. Anal jokes aside…no I take that back. I refuse to refer to the project by that name. Just as I won’t pronounce Se7en as “Sae-seven-en.” Now that that is out of way, on to the casting news about the next installment in the Destination series.
Already a part of the cast is Miles Fisher. New names to the list include Hot Tub Time Machine‘s David Koechner, Nicholas D’Agosto (Fired Up!), P.J. Byrne (Dinner for Schmucks) and Ellen Wroe.
This particular series of DTMs (Dead Teenager Movies) focuses on a group of people who survive a catastrophe but end up expiring in elaborate Rube Goldberg-like fashion. They’ve made us fear taking airplanes, driving on highways, attending stock-car races, and even going to the mall. For these victims, they are co-workers on a corporate retreat, escaping the collapse of a city’s suspension bridge. Considering the film’s also-known-as title, it wouldn’t surprise me if it was the London Bridge.
While horror fans could care less about who the potential victims are, they will like that Tony Todd (the Candyman), who’s been involved in all but one of the Destination movies, is back playing Mr. Bludworth.
Eric Heisserer (The Thing) wrote the script, and Steve Quale is directing. Shooting is scheduled to start in Vancouver on September 13.
