Thomas Jane To Star On Walking Dead?

Casting News, News, Top Story

I’m a fan of Thomas Jane, he’s a good actor. His rendition of Frank Castle in 2004’s The Punisher I felt was almost perfect, and I would have loved to have seen him wear the skull a second time. Hung is also one of my favorite shows, and I have a habit of recommending it to just about anyone. He’s a really good actor and I’m always happy to see him get work in projects that I’m interested in.

On Sunday night, at an Emmy after party, Jane told PopcornBiz that he was pushing to get a spot on AMC’s adaption of Robert Kirkman’s “The Walking Dead”.

“That show is going to be a a big f—– hit,” said Jane, “I’ve seen it and is fan-f—- tactic.”

Jane spent his Emmy night dinner talking to director Frank Daraborn and trying to work out a way to get on the show.

“I’m going to come on and do a guest thing,” he says. “Maybe play a bad guy.”

He also explained how when Walking Dead seemed destined for HBO, he was actually supposed to star in it, but when HBO decided not to go with it, he took the role of Ray in Hung instead.

And as for what kind of a bad guy? Well, one last little statement from the man.

“I’m not going to be a zombie,” he says. “That’s too much make up.”

Walking Dead premiers on AMC on October 31st, and Hung’s season finale will be on HBO September 12th.
