Giveaway: Parenthood – Season 1

Giveaways, News

It’s nice to live here, and of course what 38 year old woman doesn’t enjoy living at home with her parents.

The first season of NBC’s Parenthood had a rocky start as a mid-season replacement. Originally, it was slated to air Mondays beginning in September 2009. However, complications arose when actress Maura Tierney had to leave the show due to conflicts with her breast cancer treatment. Lauren Graham, fresh from being a Gilmore Girl, filled her spot. Now instead of raising one kid, she’s raising two – and she’s financially strapped to boot. Time to move back in with the parents. The season premiered in March and was greeted with a mixed reception, but the network saw fit to give it another season. Featuring a nice ensemble of actors, including Craig T. Nelson, Monica Potter, Peter Krause, Dax Shepard, Erika Christensen and Mae Whitman as well as recurring characters played by Tom Amandes, Jason Ritter and Minka Kelly, the series comes from a strong TV pedigree. Oscar winners Ron Howard and Brian Grazer may serve as executive producers, but this is clearly Jason Katims’s (TV’s Friday Night Lights) show. He developed it, wrote 14 of the episodes and even got Emmy Award director Thomas Schlamme (The West Wing, Sports Night) to direct the pilot.

We’re offering readers the chance to win the first season. Fill out the form below (include the name of contest prize and your mailing address in the comments section) and good luck. Again, special thanks to PR firms and studios that make giveaways like this happen. Big props to them!
