Dotel won’t be eligible for the postseason, but will be a big lift to try and get the Rockies to the Playoffs.
Octavio Dotel has been traded for the second time this season, this time to the Colorado Rockies from the Los Angeles Dodgers. The Dodgers traded James McDonald and Andrew Lambo to the Pittsburgh Pirates for Dotel in July to try and help the Dodgers make a playoff push.
Dotel had a 3.38 ERA with a 10.1 K/9 ratio in 19 games for the Dodgers.
The Rockies will send a player to be named later to the Dodgers for Dotel.
