Borland has been having problems with his left shoulder, and will take the season to get healthy.
Badgers LB Chris Borland will miss the rest of the season to let his surgically repaired left should heal. Borland reinjured his shoulder early in Saturday’s game against Arizona State.
Borland was the Big-Ten Freshman of the Year last season, but has struggled with the shoulder all offseason after undergoing surgery in January to fix a torn labrum.
Borland is expected to apply for a medical hardship that would give him an extra year of eligibility.
