Hit-Girl, Chloe Moretz is now Emily The Strange

Casting News, News, Projects, Rumors

While Kick-Ass was a great film, what made it so was the character Hit-Girl, who was played by Chloe Moretz. Well, Moretz is continuing with the comic book kick as she will be starring in the big screen adaptation of Emily The Strange.

Emily is a young goth girl with four black cats. She started out as an image design by Rob Reger for stickers, clothes, etc and eventually got to star in her own comics.

No plot elements have been announced thus far.

Apparently Moretz’s involvement in the project came about when Reger met her at the Let Me In panel earlier this year at Comic-Con. Let Me In is the next film Moretz will star in.

Sound Off: Chloe Moretz was amazing in Kick-Ass and I look forward to seeing where her career takes her. I don’t know too much about Emily The Strange, but I think Moretz will be able to pull off dark and gloomy with the same panache she had with Hit-Girl.
