Deadline is reporting that an offer from Sony to actress Emma Stone pertaining her playing Mary Jane Watson in the upcoming Spider-Man remake…in 3D. The Zombieland actress has previously been rumored for the role, but according to Deadline, she’s a lock for the role.
The role of Gwen Stacy, however, is still up for grabs.
I’m happy with this casting, actually, as I have been a fan of hers since I first saw Superbad, and even more so since The Rocker. She’s cute, she’s talented, and I envision her as much more natural fit for Mary Jane Watson than Kirsten Dunst.
