Just in time for the Halloween movie watching season, FEARnet, the leading destination for horror, thriller, and suspense, is unveiling ghoulish new features.
The highly anticipated original series Zombie Roadkill, starring Thomas Hayden Church (Sideways, Spider-Man 3) and David Dorfman (Texas Chainsaw Massacre, The Ring), will premiere today, Monday October 4. Two episodes premiere today on fearnet.com, with one new episode released online each day this week. If you’d rather watch them on TV, the first three episodes will be available on October 14, with the final episodes becoming available on October 21. The Sam Raimi produced series follows various vacationers as they travel over a cursed stretch of highway, turning the roadkill into zombies. Church stars as park ranger Chet Masterson, who’s been dealing with this problem for awhile. Zombie Roadkill has been garnering some high praise since it’s release at Fantastic Fest last week.
In addition to Zombie Roadkill, FEARnet also will be premiering an in depth interview with the one and only Frank Darabont. Darabont is an accomplished writer, director, and producer, who’s credits include The Shawshank Redemption, The Mist, and the new AMC series, The Walking Dead. The five part interview will be on Post Morten with Mick Garris on fearnet.com on October 25, and FEARnet On Demand on October 29.
FEARnet.com will also premiere free weekly movies. Every Monday, viewers can watch their favorite horror comedies with FEARnet’s “A Funny Way To Die” movie features. Celebrity Wednesdays will feature films like Wolf, Creep, Resurrection Mary, and Bats. Indie Fright Nights will feature films like Stevie and Behind the Wall.
While you’re at fearnet.com checking out all the awesome programming, be sure to enter their Halloween Shriekstakes. Prizes include a PS3, DVD box sets, and a $200 movie card. They will also have “Watch and Win” contest that take place from October 4-8 during Zombie Roadkill, and on October 25 during the Frank Darabont interview.
