NFL News: Indianapolis Colts Safety Melvin Bullitt Is Out For The Season

News

Bullitt was the teams replacement for Bob Sanders, and the teams special teams captain.

Colts Safety Melvin Bullitt will miss the rest of the season after breaking a bone in his shoulder during the Colts loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday.

Bullitt will undergo surgery in two weeks and will be placed on injured reserved, ending his season.

Bullitt was filling in for oft-injured Bob Sanders who is out until at least December with a biceps injury. The Colts are also dealing with injuries to WRs Pierre Garcon and Anthony Gonzalez as well as offensive linemen Charlie Johnson and Jeff Saturday.

The Colts are 2-2 overall, but surprisingly the Colts are 0-2 in their division for the first time ever.
