The three players haven’t played yet this year, but now they all know they won’t be back.

North Carolina has lost defensive tackle Marvin Austin, wide receiver Greg Little and defensive end Robert Quinn to college football’s player agent scandal.

The team announced that Marvin Austin has been released from the team and Greg Little and Robert Quinn have both been have been ruled permanently ineligible.

“It’s a sad day when three young men are no longer able to represent their school based on actions they have taken and decisions they have made contrary to NCAA rules,” UNC Athletic Director Dick Baddour said. “Unfortunately, they made serious mistakes in judgment in accepting extra benefits and then not being truthful with our staff and NCAA representatives.”
